Senate Banking Committee Chair Tim Scott advocated for the GENIUS Act, a bill to create a regulatory framework for stablecoins.

Blockchain Association CEO Summer Mersinger called for the swift confirmation of Jonathan Gould for Comptroller of the Currency. She said there was an urgent need for a leader to be in place at the OCC ahead of expected passage of the "GENIUS" Act.

The SEC withdrew proposed rulemakings that were issued between March 2022 and November 2023. The SEC stated it "does not intend to issue final rules with respect to these proposals" and, if the SEC "decides to pursue future regulatory action in any of these areas, it will issue a new proposed rule."

SEC Chair Paul S. Atkins appointed experienced Directors for the Division of Investment Management, the Division of Trading and Markets, and the Office of Public Affairs. He also appointed a new Chief Accountant.

The SEC announced the panelists for an upcoming roundtable on Executive Compensation Disclosure Requirements. The roundtable is scheduled for June 26, 2025.
