SEC Chair Atkins Fills Key Leadership Roles

SEC Chair Paul S. Atkins appointed experienced Directors for the Division of Investment Management, the Division of Trading and Markets, and the Office of Public Affairs. He also appointed a new Chief Accountant. The appointments include:

  • Brian T. Daly will become Director of the Division of Investment Management on July 8. Mr. Daly held senior roles at Akin Gump, Schulte Roth & Zabel and several investment firms.
  • Erik Hotmire will return as Chief External Affairs Officer and Director of the Office of Public Affairs, effective June 16. He previously served under SEC Chair Christopher Cox.
  • Kurt Hohl was named Chief Accountant, effective July 7. A former SEC staffer and EY partner, Mr. Hohl replaces Acting Chief Accountant Ryan Wolfe, who returns to the Division of Enforcement.
  • Jamie Selway will become Director of the Division of Trading and Markets on June 17. He brings experience in market structure and electronic trading from roles at Sophron Advisors, ITG and Archipelago.
