SEC Commissioner Allison Herren Lee Steps Down

SEC Commissioner Allison Herren Lee stepped down as Commissioner on July 15, 2022.

As previously covered, Ms. Lee gave notice in March that she would not seek a second term as Commissioner. Jaime E. Lizárraga, who was recently confirmed by the Senate, will succeed Ms. Lee as Commissioner.

SEC Chair Gary Gensler and SEC Commissioners Hester M. Peirce, Caroline A. Crenshaw and Mark T. Uyeda thanked Ms. Lee for her service, highlighting some of her activities which included a focus on climate disclosures, whistleblower protection and individual accountability for violations of the securities laws.
