OFAC Issues General License Relating to Russian Gas Company
OFAC issued General License No. 30 ("Authorizing Transactions Involving Gazprom Germania GmbH") under the "Russian Harmful Foreign Activities Sanctions Regulations" 31 CFR Part 587.
General License No. 30 authorizes, until September 30, 2022, all transactions that were otherwise prohibited by Directive 3 under Executive Order 14024 ("Blocking Property With Respect To Specified Harmful Foreign Activities of the Government of the Russian Federation") with a Russian gas company and its subsidiaries in which it has a greater than 50 percent ownership.
