CFTC to Meet on System Safeguard Testing and Substituted Compliance for Japanese Clearing
The CFTC will consider (i) final rules from the Division of Market Oversight and Division of Clearing and Risk relating to system safeguards-testing requirements, and (ii) a comparability determination for Japan's uncleared swap margin rules that would permit substituted compliance. Substituted compliance would allow Japan's uncleared swap margin rules to serve as reasonable substitutes for compliance with CEA and CFTC rules with similar requirements.
The meeting will take place on September 8, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. EDT. The meeting is open to the public and will be available to listen to or stream live via conference call.
