CFTC Sets Comment Deadline for Potential Changes to SD/FCM Risk Management Rules

The CFTC set a comment deadline of September 18, 2023 for potential amendments to the risk management program and reporting requirements for swap dealers and futures commission merchants. The comment deadline for the Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking was published in the Federal Register.

As previously covered, the CFTC is seeking input on (i) risk management program governance structures, (ii) the enumerated risks that the risk management programs must monitor and address and (iii) considerations of specific risks that the programs take into account.
