MSRB Proposes Revisions to Series 50 Content Outline (MSRB Reg. Notice 16-17)

The MSRB proposed revisions to the content outline for the Municipal Advisor Representative Qualification Examination ("Series 50").

Pursuant to MSRB Rule G-3, municipal advisor representatives are required to take and pass the Series 50 examination in order to engage in municipal advisory activities. The proposed revisions are a response to recent rulemaking that is applicable to municipal advisors; they reflect current rule requirements and citations. Additionally, the revisions add citations to MSRB Rules G-20, G-37 and G-42, and remove the citation to MSRB Rule G-32 from the Series 50 Content Outline.

The MSRB filed the revisions for immediate effectiveness and proposed to implement the revised Series 50 examination on September 12, 2016.
