FINRA Names New Executive Vice President and Head of Enforcement

FINRA named Jessica Hopper as the new Executive Vice President and Head of Enforcement. Ms. Hopper is replacing Susan Schroeder, who stepped down in September 2019 (see previous coverage).

Ms. Hopper joined FINRA in 2004 as an Enforcement Attorney before being promoted to Director of the Washington D.C. office and then to Vice President of the Regional Enforcement program. In 2016, Ms. Hopper was appointed to the position of Senior Vice President and Deputy Head of Enforcement until she became the acting Head of Enforcement for Ms. Schroeder. Prior to joining FINRA, Ms. Hopper worked on legal and compliance matters at Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. and began her career as a litigation attorney in private practice.
