FINRA Head of Enforcement Susan Schroeder to Step Down

FINRA Executive Vice President and Head of Enforcement Susan Schroeder will leave the agency later this year. Deputy Head of Enforcement Jessica Hopper will succeed Ms. Schroeder.

Ms. Schroeder joined FINRA as its Senior Vice President and Deputy Chief of Enforcement in 2011 and became Executive Vice President in 2017. FINRA credits Ms. Schroeder with leading the design and implementation of "FINRA’s unified Department of Enforcement, which was the result of FINRA360, the organization’s ongoing comprehensive self-evaluation and improvement initiative." Prior to joining FINRA, Ms. Schroeder was a securities litigation and enforcement attorney in private practice.
