FINRA requested comment on how to revise its arbitration rules, guidance, and processes.

FINRA is seeking input on forum selection, eligibility requirements, motions to dismiss, and arbitrator qualifications and selection. The request also covers discovery processes, the handling of unpaid awards, and punitive damages.

According to the Notice, the review aims to eliminate unnecessary burdens and ensure an efficient and transparent dispute resolution forum for customers, member firms, and associated persons.

Comments on the proposal must be submitted on or before May 1, 2026
