FINRA Implements Branch Office Registration Form "Functionality Enhancements"

FINRA implemented "functionality enhancements" for the Uniform Branch Office Registration Form ("Form BR") to make it easier for firms to amend their submissions regarding existing office locations.

In its alert to member firms, FINRA said it also updated guidance on these "Enhancements to Form BR Functionality." (See Residential Supervisory Location ("RSL") FAQs).  Among other things, the updated FAQs explain how a firm may unselect a location's registration. These updates build on changes made on July 18, 2024, which helped firms handle RSL designations for new Form BR submissions. (See previous coverage.)
