ICYMI: Webinar on SEC's Proposal to Mandate Central Clearing
On May 24, 2023, representatives from J.P. Morgan, Wells Fargo, Sia Partners and Fried Frank hosted a complimentary virtual seminar on the SEC's proposed rule changes that would require the majority of participants in the U.S. Treasury and Repo Markets to centrally clear secondary market transactions. The panel addressed how firms should prepare for operational and infrastructure challenges, risk trade-offs, and potential impacts on liquidity. The discussion also covered the views of market making firms. The webinar is now available to view on demand.
