SEC Names Erik Gerding as Director of Division of Corporation Finance

The SEC appointed Erik Gerding to be the next Director of the Division of Corporation Finance.

Mr. Gerding's term will begin on February 3, 2023, immediately following the departure of the current director, Renee Jones. Mr. Gerding currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Division of Corporation Finance. Prior to that, Mr. Gerding taught at the University of Colorado Law School and the University of New Mexico School of Law.

Ms. Jones is set to return to her faculty position at Boston College Law School.
