Comment Deadline Set for SEC and CFTC Proposal to Amend Private Fund Reporting

Comments on a joint SEC and CFTC proposal to amend Form PF to require more detailed private fund information are due by October 11, 2022. The Notice was published in the Federal Register.

As previously covered, the proposal would (i) enhance reporting requirements for large hedge fund advisers on qualifying hedge funds, (ii) enhance reporting of basic information regarding advisers and the private funds they advise, (iii) enhance reporting with respect to hedge funds, (iv) remove aggregate reporting for large hedge fund advisers and (v) amend how advisers report complex structures. Additionally, the proposal would define a new sub-asset class for digital assets in an effort to collect information on funds' exposures to digital assets.
