House Financial Services Committee Requests Diversity Data from Crypto Companies
Members of the House Financial Services Committee requested information on diversity and inclusion practices from the United States' 20 largest crypto, web3 and digital asset companies, as well as prominent cryptocurrency venture capital firms.
The Committee Chair released a sample letter sent to these companies decrying the lack of publicly available data to properly evaluate diversity within America's largest digital assets companies and the firms that are invested in those digital asset companies. Accordingly, the Committee requested that these companies and their investors complete a questionnaire to be submitted to the Subcommittee on Diversity and Inclusion regarding data and policies from the calendar year 2021. The Committee asked that companies complete the questionnaire by September 2, 2022.
