Comment Deadline Set for SRO Amendments to CAT NMS Plan

Comments are due by June 22, 2022 for a proposal from multiple SROs to amend the CAT NMS Plan. The proposal would implement a revised funding model for the consolidated audit trail and establish a fee schedule for Participant CAT fees. The proposal was published in the Federal Register.

The proposed amendments would (i) replace the current funding model with the Executed Share Model, which would impose fees on CAT reporters based on the executed equivalent share volume of transactions in eligible securities rather than based on market share and message traffic; and (ii) adopt a fee schedule to establish the CAT fees applicable to participants based on the Executed Share Model.
