CFTC Commissioner Mersinger Names Chief of Staff and Senior Counsel

CFTC Commissioner Summer K. Mersinger named Chris Lucas as Chief of Staff and Counsel. Mr. Lucas came to the CFTC from BNY Mellon, where he was Co-Head of U.S. Government Affairs. Previously, he served as Counsel to Small Business Committee Ranking Member Olympia Snowe (R-ME), Investigative Counsel to Senate Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Charles Grassley (R-IA) and Legislative Counsel to Senator Mike Rounds (R-SD).

Ms. Mersinger also named Terry Arbit and Elizabeth (Libby) Mastrogiacomo as Senior Counsel. Mr. Arbit and Ms. Mastrogiacomo previously worked with Ms. Mersinger in the Office of Former CFTC Commissioner Dawn Stump. Mr. Abit also worked at the CFTC in various roles from 1996 to 2013, including as legal counsel to Former CFTC Chair Reuben Jeffery III.
