SEC Names New Deputy Director of OASB

The SEC named Sebastian Gomez Abero as the new Deputy Director of the Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation ("OASB"). He is charged with overseeing strategic initiatives for this new office.

Previously, Mr. Gomez Abero served as Senior Advisor to SEC Chair Jay Clayton, advising on matters concerning the Division of Corporation Finance, Office of the Chief Accountant, and OASB.

Mr. Gomez Abero joined the SEC Division of Corporation Finance in 2007, holding roles as a staff attorney for the Office of Health Care and Insurance, special counsel in the Office of Financial Services, Chief of the Office of Small Business Policy, and Deputy Chief Counsel.
