FDIC Provides 30-Day "Grace Period" for Call Report Filings
The FDIC provided financial institutions with a 30-day "grace period" for filing Consolidated Reports of Condition and Income (also known as "Call Reports").
According to the FDIC, the grace period applies to the first quarter filing deadline of March 31, 2020. The FDIC stated that the extension applies to all three versions of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council ("FFIEC") Call Report (i.e., FFIEC 031, FFIEC 041, and FFIEC 051).
The FDIC noted that a financial institution should still contact its regional FDIC office if it believes that its Call Report submissions will be late.
