Options Clearing Corporation Issues "Unscheduled Markets Closing Guide"

The Options Clearing Corporation ("OCC") provided an "Unscheduled Markets Closing Guide" to inform stakeholders of certain procedures the that OCC will follow in case of an unscheduled closing, including a market closure resulting from a market wide circuit breaker. In the guide, the OCC identifies rules and processes that apply in certain situations. The OCC also said that in the event of a closure, it will publish a memo that will provide market participants with detailed guidance and additional information.
