State AGs Join Antitrust Investigation of Facebook

In an update on an antitrust investigation into Facebook, New York Attorney General ("AG") Letitia James stated that 47 State Attorneys General are now supporting the effort. She said that the investigation centers on whether Facebook put consumer data at risk, reduced the quality of consumers’ choices, and improperly increased the price of advertising. She committed to "use every investigative tool at our disposal to determine whether Facebook’s actions stifled competition and put users at risk.”
