CFTC Chair Heath P. Tarbert Names Agency Directors

CFTC Chair Heath P. Tarbert announced significant appointments and reappointments to the CFTC leadership team. He appointed:

• Joshua B. Sterling to serve as Director of the Division of Swap Dealer and Intermediary Oversight; and

• Michael C. Short to serve as Director of the Office of External Affairs and Chief of Communications Officer.

Chair Tarbert reappointed:

• James M. McDonald to continue serving as Director of the Division of Enforcement;
• Amir R. Zaidi to continue serving as Director of the Division of Market Oversight;
• Bruce A. Tuckman to continue serving as Chief Economist and Director of the Office of the Chief Economist; and
• Sarah J. Summerville to continue serving as Director of the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion.

The CFTC stated that additional senior appointments will be announced in the coming days.
