Representative Waters to Serve as House Financial Services Committee Chair

The Democratic Caucus approved Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) to serve as House Financial Services Committee Chair in the 116th Congress.

Ms. Waters has served as both a Member of Congress and a member of the Financial Services Committee since 1991, and in assuming the chairmanship will become both the first woman and first African American to chair the Committee.
