ISDA Recommends Best Practices for EMIR Trade Reporting

ISDA recommended best practices for European Market Infrastructure Regulation ("EMIR") trade reporting for December 2018.

ISDA recommends standardized reporting methods within the industry in order to (i) improve the effectiveness of the reporting process, (ii) clarify any ambiguities and (iii) increase matching rates. The recommendations cover best practices for validation, determining the fixed or float leg and the counterparty side for reporting under EMIR RTS ("Regulation Technical Standards") 2.0, the execution time stamp, and the venue of execution scenarios. These recommendations will be "reviewed and updated periodically."
