Canadian, Mexican and U.S. Authorities Establish Financial Regulatory Forum

The Department of Finance Canada, the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit of Mexico, and the U.S. Department of the Treasury established a financial regulatory forum (the "Forum").

The Forum was created to promote regulatory cooperation and will provide a venue each year for participants to meet. The Forum is expected to cover:

  • cross-border issues;

  • emerging developments in the financial sector;

  • financial stability risks; and

  • regulatory practices.
