SEC Cautions Investors about Margin Risk

The SEC Office of Investor Education and Advocacy ("OIEA") cautioned investors about the risks of purchasing securities on margin.

The SEC Investor Bulletin provides retail investors with a general overview of margin transactions. The OIEA highlighted, among other things, (i) the risks of margin transactions and (ii) the relevant Federal, SEC and FINRA rules governing margin transactions.
