OCC Publishes Updated Booklet on MSRB Rules

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency ("OCC") published an updated "Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board Rules" booklet of the Comptroller's Handbook.

The booklet applies to OCC supervision of banks engaged in municipal securities dealer activities. The updates incorporate current guidance and examination procedures based on several recent MSRB rule changes, including the rules on best execution, transactions with sophisticated municipal market professionals, and regular-way settlements.
