SEC Advisory Committee to Consider Capital-Raising Activities for Small Issuers

On May 10, 2017, the SEC Advisory Committee on Small and Emerging Companies (the "Committee") will meet to discuss several regulatory issues relating to the capital-raising activities of small issuers. Specifically, the Committee will discuss (i) the underwriting of small offerings, (ii) updates to the tick size pilot program, (iii) enforcement report updates from state securities regulators, (iv) Regulation A secondary market liquidity recommendations, and (v) the treatment of "finders" who assist companies in capital-raising activities.
