Federal Register: SEC Adopts Standards for Covered Clearing Agencies
The SEC adopted final rules to enhance policy and procedure standards for systemically important and security-based swap clearing agencies ("covered clearing agencies"). These enhanced standards apply to all SEC-registered central counterparties. The final rules were published in the Federal Register.
The final rules will be effective on December 12, 2016 with a compliance date of April 11, 2017.
