IOSCO and CPMI Update Status of PFMI Implementation

IOSCO and the Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures ("CPMI") published a third update to the Level 1 assessments of implementation monitoring of the Principles for Financial Market Infrastructures ("PFMI"). IOSCO and CPMI conclude that 19 of the 28 jurisdictions completed their implementation measures for all financial market infrastructure types. They determined further, that progress was made by those participating jurisdictions that had not completed their implementation measures at the time of the previous update in 2015. The next update of the Level 1 assessment will be conducted in 2017.
