Business Groups Form Transatlantic Financial Regulatory Coherence Coalition
Various trade associations and business groups welcomed the formation of the Transatlantic Financial Regulatory Coherence Coalition, the purpose of which is to promote the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership ("TTIP") agreement. A TTIP agreement that pooled resources would be the "optimal path" to market-opening measures and enhancing the EU-U.S. cross border regulation, the groups asserted. According to the groups, the TTIP is designed to be an effective framework for delivering regulatory coherence that will benefit businesses, consumers and society.
