Associate Director of Enforcement to Leave the SEC
SEC Associate Director of Enforcement Stephen L. Cohen will be leaving the agency at the end of the month. Mr. Cohen led the SEC's efforts related to whistleblower rulemaking and oversaw the creation of the SEC Tips, Complaints and Referrals system. He oversaw a staff of 60 attorneys and other professionals responsible for investigating potential violations of the federal securities laws by a wide range of market participants and provided assistance to international regulators and domestic law enforcement partners.
