CFTC Encourages Investors to Use SmartCheck
The CFTC encouraged investors to conduct background checks of financial professionals. The CFTC emphasized that SmartCheck.gov provides access to free tools that allow investors to check the background of a financial professional, including their registration status, job history and potential history of disciplinary actions. It is CFTC SmartCheckSM week from April 11 to April 17, 2016.
