New FDIC Publication Provides Supplementary Guidance on Corporate Governance

The FDIC released a Special Corporate Governance Edition of its publication, Supervisory Insights. The new issue features an article, titled "A Community Bank Director's Guide to Corporate Governance: 21st Century Reflections on the FDIC Pocket Guide for Directors," that supplements its 1988 publication, Pocket Guide for Directors. The article is not a revised edition of the pocket guide, but instead provides commentary on key governance concepts, the roles and responsibilities of directors and senior management, and FDIC examinations of governance at community banks.
