SEC Hands Out More Awards to Whistleblowers
The SEC announced that it had awarded a payment of $1.8 million to a whistleblower who voluntarily provided original information and $65,000 apiece to two whistleblowers who provided additional information after the start of an investigation. The SEC stated that the whistleblower program has now paid more than $57 million to 26 whistleblowers since 2011.
