President Obama Announces Nominations of Two CFTC Commissioners

President Obama announced the nominations of (i) Dr. Chris Brummer to be a CFTC Commissioner for the remainder of the term of Mark P. Wetjen, who resigned, expiring June 19, 2016; and (ii) Brian Quintenz to be a CFTC Commissioner for a term expiring April 13, 2020.

Dr. Brummer is a Professor of Law and Faculty Director of the Institute of International Economic Law at the Georgetown University Law Center, where he has taught since 2009.

Mr. Quintenz is the Founder, Managing Principal, and Chief Investment Officer of Saeculum Capital Management LLC, a position he has held since 2013.
