Timothy Geithner's Testimony at the Hearing on “The Annual Report of the Financial Stability Oversight Council”

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner testified before the House Financial Services Committee. His prepared remarks focused on what he viewed as the various regulatory accomplishments of the regulators (Dodd-Frank rulemaking); on threats to the economy (housing and Europe); and on other regulatory concerns (money market funds and tri-party repo market). However, news reports indicate that the primary interest of the Committee was in the Secretary's role in the LIBOR matter.
