Senator Reproposes Bill to Require NY Fed President to Be Appointed by U.S. President

Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) reintroduced S.530, a bill that would require the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York to be appointed by the President of the United States and confirmed by the Senate.

The bill has been referred to the Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs.
