CFTC Chair Massad provided an overview of the CFTC actions taken at the close of 2015 and outlined priorities for 2016.

The CFTC approved permanent registration for 18 swap execution facilities ("SEFs") that previously were operating under temporary registration status. CFTC staff will continue conducting registration reviews for the remaining five SEFs that are currently temporarily registered.
