Effective and Compliance Dates Set for SEC Final Rule on Investment Companies' Use of Derivatives
An SEC final rule was published in the Federal Register that provides exemptions for mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, registered closed-end funds and business development companies when entering into derivatives transactions. The final rule will go into effect on February 19, 2021, and compliance with the rule is required by August 19, 2022.
