OCC Bank Supervision Improving, Says Peer Review

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency ("OCC") released an international peer review of its supervision of large and midsize national banks, and federal savings associations. According to the review, the OCC's supervision is "more effective now than three years ago."

The review was conducted by senior regulators from Australia, Canada and Singapore, as well as former staff members of the International Monetary Fund. The review addressed the OCC's implementation of recommendations from the 2013 International Peer Review, which examined the agency's approach to supervising large and midsize institutions.
