SEC Grants ICE Clear Europe's Request to Withdraw Registration
The SEC granted ICE Clear Europe's request to withdraw from registration as a clearing agency under Exchange Act Section 17A ("National system for clearance and settlement of securities transactions"). The SEC also granted ICE Clear Europe's request to terminate an exemption from clearing of certain futures and options contracts on underlying U.S. equity securities.
The SEC stated that ICE Clear Europe must keep all required records for a period of five years following the date of its withdrawal, and provide them to the SEC if requested.
