SEC Sets Effective and Compliance Dates for Disclosure Requirements on Securities Loans

The SEC set an effective date of January 2, 2024 and accompanying compliance dates for new Exchange Act Rule 10c-1 ("Reporting of Securities Loans"). The final rule was published in the Federal Register.

As previously covered, the final rule imposes reporting requirements on persons who lend "reportable securities," or the agents for such persons.
