Federal Register: CFTC Committee to Examine Central Counterparty Risk Management Initiatives
The CFTC announced that the Market Risk Advisory Committee will hold a public meeting to examine final recommendations from the Central Counterparty ("CCP") Risk Management Subcommittee on how CCPs can enhance their efforts to prepare for the default of a significant clearing member. The Committee also will examine the Bank of England's coordinated CCP default fire drill. The CFTC announcement was published in the Federal Register.
The public meeting will be held on November 17, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Eastern Standard Time. Members of the public who wish to submit written statements in connection with the meeting should submit them by November 24, 2016.
