CFTC Advisory Committee Establishes Subcommittee on Swaps Margin

The CFTC established a subcommittee of the Global Markets Advisory Committee ("GMAC") on margin requirements for uncleared swaps.

CFTC Commissioner Dawn Stump stated that the new GMAC subcommittee will consider challenges concerning the implementation of margin requirements and recommend actions that the Commission should take to mitigate those challenges.

Nominations for members of the new subcommittee must be submitted by November 12, 2019.
