OCC Releases Updated List of Permissible Activities for Banks

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency ("OCC") recently published an updated list of permissible activities for national banks and federal savings associations (collectively, "banks").

The OCC's Activities Permissible for National Banks and Federal Savings Associations, Cumulative updates the list of permissible bank activities, and provides some guidance for OCC-regulated institutions. This October version is updated to improve readability, reflect applicable precedents, and include certain OCC interpretive letters and corporate decisions. Although this publication consolidates bank guidance, OCC precedent remains applicable until rescinded, superseded, or revised.
