SEC Awards Whistleblower over $1 Million

The SEC awarded more than $1 million to a whistleblower for reporting "new information and substantial corroborating documentation" regarding a securities violation that impacted retail investors. According to the SEC, the whistleblower's tip contributed to a successful action against the entity. To date, the SEC has awarded more than $162 million to 47 whistleblowers.
