CFTC Enforcement Director Moves On

CFTC Division of Enforcement Director James McDonald will leave the agency on October 8, 2020. He has served as Director of Enforcement since April 2017.

CFTC Chairman Heath P. Tarbert stated that during Jamie’s tenure, "the division has bolstered its capabilities to detect misconduct through data and analytics, strengthened relationships with other regulators and criminal authorities through parallel enforcement, and increased transparency."

CFTC Division of Enforcement Principal Deputy Director Vincent McGonagle will serve as Acting Director upon Mr. McDonald's departure.
