OCC Issues Updated Comptroller's Handbook Booklet on Electronic Fund Transfers
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency ("OCC") issued an updated booklet, titled "Electronic Fund Transfer Act," which is part of the Comptroller's Handbook.
The booklet, which replaces the edition that was issued in October 2011, has been revised to include recent changes to Regulation E by adding subparts and specific requirements for remittance service providers in new subpart B.
The updated booklet also reflects the transfer of rulemaking authority under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act from the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
