[Revised] Transfer Agent Penalized for Allowing Escheat; SEC Commissioners Dissent

An article published on August 17, 2023 on an SEC enforcement action against a transfer agent included commentary that incorrectly stated that Commissioners Peirce and Uyeda dissented as to the SEC's remedy, but not as to the enforcement action itself. In fact, the Commissioners dissented as to both the remedy and the enforcement action. See footnote #3 of the dissent. The original comment has been revised.
Commentary
The objection as to the enforcement action is equally strong as the objection as to the remedy.
